Springfield Sliders

Here are some shots from the local minor League team. They won the Western Division first half and tied for first in the second half. They lost in the first round of the playoffs this year but still a great job! Champions in 2009 and first place in the west in 2010.

Eastern Swing

Saturday Cruddy and I took a swing east of Springfield and checked out the area.  It was fun and we ended up in Amish country.  We discovered a great bar called “The Berg” and ran into a HUGE catholic church in Pena.  We hit the usual batch of antique shops, had lunch at a less than great cafe, found a decent public beach, and finally after 5 years of searching located lake county in Illinois!  It turns out that Lake Shelbyville is somewhat like the area in Ottertail County so that will draw us back for at least a rental or a purchase?   The church was St. Patrick’s, enjoy the photos.

Sorry about the LONG wait.

Rather than try and start with the big stuff (Turkey/Greece, Wedding) I am going to work backwards from our trip to MN.  Here are a few shots from our trip to Ottertail lake on the 4th of July.
